Italian technology for future communications between Earth and Mars - Space and Astronomy. Italy is among the protagonists of the project for the development of a telecommunications system.
The contract signed by the Italian Space Agency and Thales Alenia Space for the supply of the communication system and a radar for the International mission -Mars Ice Mapper. Promoted by NASA, the Canadian space agency CSA and the Japanese space agency Jaxa, it intends to measure the volume of water ice in areas of Mars other than the poles.
