Italy had spent 45.65 bn of NRRP funding by end of 2023, report says. It means that 21.1 billion euros ofNRRP cash was spent last year.

Premier Giorgia Meloni expressed satisfaction in her preface to the report. Italy is top in the European Union for the number of targets met under its NRRP, with 178 out of 527 goals achieved, the European Commission said Wednesday. The EU executive said Italy has asked for 194.4 billion and Spain163 billion in post-COVIDrecovery funds.
