Italy's employment rate far below EU average - Eurostat - Business.com. Employment rate for people aged 20 to 64 in 2023 was 66.3%, almost 10 percentage points lower than the EUaverage of 75.4%.
The figure for women was especially low, with 56.5% of females in this age range in work, compared to an EU average of 70.2%. The employment rate for males was 76%, compared to a European average of 80.5%.
