Italy's GDP up 0.9% in 2023, deficit worse than forecast at 7.2% - Istat. That is up from the growth figure of 0.7% the nationalstatistics agency had given in an estimate at the end of January and 0.8% given by the government in its Nadef economic blueprint.

The debt-to-GDP ratio, meanwhile, dropped to 137.3% from 140.5% in 2022, Istat said.
