Air France Flight 291 took off from Kansai Airport around 11:15 a.m. The weather radar and speedometers were malfunctioning as it flew over the Pacific Ocean.

None of the 324 passengers and crew were injured, but the plane's nose was damaged and the cause of the incident is under investigation, Kyodo News Agency says. The Kansa's Airport Office did not respond to Reuters phone calls for comment on the incident, which took place over the weekend. The cause is still under investigation.
