Javier Milei called the president of Mexico "ignorant": "It is a compliment that López Obrador speaks badly of me". The head of state differentiated himself from his Mexican counterpart and defended his economic plan.

"The populism that they praise so much, the socialism of the 21st century, cost Argentines 80% of their income," he stated. "I cannot express myself about what is happening in Argentina because it is a democratically elected government, it was the Argentines who decided to have that government," he said.
