Argentine President Javier Milei met this Friday in Austin, Texas, with Elon Musk. "It was like love at first sight," said a witness of the encounter.

Milei and Musk "fully agreed on the need for freedom in the markets for the progress of countries," says Gerardo Werthein, the designated ambassador to the U.S. The protagonists agreed to continue working in this line, he says, with the Tesla team and Argentine officials to look for opportunities in topics such as batteries and other possible developments. "The chemistry that existed at the meeting is very difficult to describe, it was as if two soul mates had come together," says Wert hein. "They are two people who only seek to improve the future of humanity," he says. "There is important empathy" between the two men, Milei says, and they have had several gestures of sympathy in recent months of mutual sympathy in South Africa and the United States, he adds. "Elon is very interested in lithium in our country, a vital mineral for our country," says Milei.
