A Christian school for girls in East Jerusalem displayed the Israeli flag as part of a play on conflict resolution. The principal was forced to issue an apology and the Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that it would investigate the matter.
Parents demanded the principal's "head" and called for her dismissal. A group of Palestinian activists organized a march towards Bihas waving the Palestinian flag and barricaded themselves inside the school over the weekend. Many parents and activists think that Israel is trying to impose the Israeli curriculum on them aspart of what they see as a plot to Judaize the education system.
