Joël Dicker's eighth novel, A Wild Animal, comes out in bookstores on Tuesday. The Swiss writer tells the story of seemingly peaceful characters on the deceptively calm shores of Lake Geneva.

He distills his taste for the mystery that surrounds even his publishing house, Rosie & Wolfe. The novel has a print run of 450,000 copies and is expected to be a bestseller in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy, with nearly twenty signings in almost a month.
