The joint acquittal ceremony of the Kempten and Memmingen-Mindelheim district craft associations recently took place in Dietmannsried. Representatives from politics and business, including the President of the Chamber of Crafts for Swabia, Hans-Peter Rauch, came together to honor the 196 young craftsmen and women from 17 trades.

The honoring of the 22 examinees, who completed their vocational training with great success and outstanding performance, on the stage of the festival hall was once again the special highlight of the Acquittal ceremony. In Germany, 16 percent of young people between the ages of 25 and 34 have neither a vocational qualification nor the have a university entrance qualification. The Chamber President regretted that the trades still did not receive enough political and media attention and appealed to bachelors to promote the trades. In this context, Sandra Neubauer, deputy district administrator of Unterallgäu, also asked the bachelor to stay in the region and get involved socially.
