A video that has recently gone viral on social networks shows forensic doctors dancing, singing and filming the banquet with their cell phones while autopsy examinations are being carried out. The video also reached the devices of numerous forensic doctors from other faculties who asked for a formal position statement.
Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci and the president of the Medical Association, Filippo Anelli, have been asked to respond to the video. The Italian Society of Forensic Medicine has not commented on the video's authenticity or the possible disciplinary measures to be taken against the forensic doctors who took part in it. The group of colleagues who see each other in the same classroom and who appear to be demonstrating some dance steps themselves have been identified as the Forensic Doctors of Italy. The Forensic Doctors' Association of Italy has not yet responded to a request for a comment from the Italian Medical Association for a statement about the video, which has been posted on its website. The association's president has previously said that the video does not represent the position of the association.
