SV Hohenfurch with its eight departments of skiing, stick shooting, tennis, table tennis, football, ice hockey, gymnastics and bowling is booming. 29 adults and 49 children and young people joined the SVH last year, so that it now has 1,224 members.
“That’s crazy,” said Mayor Guntram Vogelsgesang at the delegates’ meeting, comparing the number of members to the over 1,700 residents of the HohenFurch community. Non-cash prizes worth 30,000 euros were generated by the club in the past year, according to chairwoman Ute Fichtl-Lankes. There were time honors and honors for long-term official activities in the main club and in the departments. Some dates have already been set for the village festival as part of the football championship in June - with a sports festival. All other departments are also back with events to keep young people happy and doing sport.
