Justice rejected the release of former judge Walter Bento: he will remain imprisoned while he is tried for corruption and abuse of authority. The defense had made two requests, but the Federal Oral Court II rejected them.
Bento was dismissed for poor performance of his duties and is being tried for 15 cases. The former judge will remain detained in the Almafuerte federal prison, in Mendoza. Place where he has been locked up since last November 8. The two claims raised by his defense that sought the release were rejected.
