Nora Saphira Kaulfuß from Kaufbeuren created a work of art for the “Tetrap-Act-on-Foodwaste” campaign using 5,525 collected Tetrapaks. Her work will be on public display at Wettersteinplatz in Munich for a month starting June 15th.

A Tetrapak symbolizes one kilogram of wasted food in Munich - 132,809 kilos of edible food are thrown away every day in the state capital. “You could say I work with waste, but for me they are valuable resources that I enjoy working with,” says the 19-year-old. She wants to create a connection to the natural and living and - through the amount of rubbish that surrounds you - trigger feelings of chaos, overwhelming and overwhelmed. She also wants to continue to deal with the topic in their art in the future in order to use their platform to educate people. In order to raise the issue of food waste in the Allgäu, Nora Kaulfuss has also contacted climate groups from KauFbeuren to implement a similar project there.
