The kentia can reach 10 m high in its natural environment but it is limited to 2 to 3 m in a pot. Its pinnate leaves are long and shiny.

Intense green, its fronds can reach 1 m in length when mature. The plant with large palm leaves will decorate a somewhat dull corner of a wall and its volume can even act as a divider to create a jungle-style relaxation area. It can also be installed in a heated veranda. It is not hardy but needs an ambient temperature of 16 to 24°C. It needs high humidity! Regularly spray non-calcareous water (to avoid deposits) on its leaves. Browning of the leaves may indicate that the leaves are too dry or the sun is too direct. Repotting is recommended every two years, every April to October. It's a good idea to repot every two to three weeks from April to September. It will help the plant to grow and mature.
