Police and carabinieri arrested the alleged instigator of the 'punitive expedition' Nure Alam Siddique known as 'Bachcu' is historic leader of the Bengali Dhuumcatu association. According to the investigators, the leader was behind the kidnapping.
The motive was a debt of around 100 thousand euros he had accrued both to obtain the issuance of a residence permit for two of his acquaintances, through the mediation of one of the suspects, and for a money loan. It was also established that on two other occasions the man had been kidnapped and held against his will to obtain payment of that debt. The L'Aquila Flying Squad managed to locate them in a hotel in the municipality of Carsoli and arrested the first three compatriots of the victim, who are currently subject to the obligation to report to the judicial police. A month later, in fact, the man spontaneously showed up at the Torpignattara police station providing other details of the kidnapped. In particular, he said he had listened to the telephone conversations between the kidnappers and another compatriot.
