Russia's top military leadership has instructed its troops to capture the city of Khasiv Yar in the Donetsk region by May 9. At least 10 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed during the night over the skies of the Russian region of Krasnodar.
In the last 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces claim to have killed 890 Russian soldiers, bringing the total losses attributed by Kiev to the enemy since the start of the invasion in February 2022 to 453,650. Russian forces attacked several settlements in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk oblast yesterday, killing at least three people and wounding four others. One person was injured in a Russian attack that hit an ambulance in the Ukrainian city of Kupiansk in the northeastern Kharkiv region. The injured person is the driver of the ambulance, a 58-year-old man. Ukraine condemns Iran's attack on Israel using drones and “Shahed” missiles. “Every effort must be made to prevent further escalation in the Middle East. Iran's actions threaten the entire region and the world, just as Russia’s actions threaten a broader conflict,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky writes.
