Killers of the Flower Moon is one of the most anticipated films this year on the Croisette, presented Out of Competition. Adapted from a book by journalist-novelist David Grann, released in 2017, depicts in the 1920s the investigation conducted by the FBI into the many murders that affected the wealthy Native American tribe of the Osage in Oklahoma.

The film received a standing ovation of more than nine minutes during its official presentation, the day before, after a historic climb of the steps on the red carpet.
