L'Aquila kindergarten will be rebuilt, named after little Tommi. Demolition and reconstruction work began this morning on the 'I Maggio' school building in via Salaria Antica Est.
The building was the scene, on 18 May 2022, of the accident that caused the death of Tommaso D'Agostino, aged 4. The cause of the tragedy was a Volkswagen Passat parked on a slope inside the structure. The car, without a handbrake, hit a group of children who were playing in an open space.
