Lampedusa once again faced with a massive influx of migrants. More than 1,500 illegal immigrants landed on the small Italian island off the Moroccan coast in just a day and a half.

Cypriot president met Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, this Sunday to take stock of this “exceptionally difficult” situation. The island of Lampedusa is a small paradise reef located south of Sicily and off the coast of Morocco, is once again plagued by amassive influx of illegal migrants.
