An energy expert uncovers parallels with the Building Energy Act (GEG) in 2020. The law was enacted on August 8, 2020, and the Federal Cabinet adopted the draft for the GEG in 2019. Habecker wants to expand subsidies and exemptions from the obligation to switch to renewable energy in new buildings from January 2024. The coalition is still a few steps away from an agreement on the heating law.
