Latin America reproaches Ecuador for the violent raid on the Mexican embassy: “It is unprecedented”. The capture of former Ecuadorian vice president Jorge Glas, holed up in the embassy in Quito amid accusations of corruption, sparked the rupture of diplomatic ties between Mexico and Ecuador.

“I am stunned by the situation that has occurred (...) It is the worst action that I have been able to witness from a foreign government,” Roberto Canseco, head of the Mexican consular section.
