A 100-year-old woman was injured after being attacked in the parking lot of the Ulis 2 shopping center, in Essonne. The perpetrators, who fled by car, are actively sought by the police.
Vulnerable, elderly people are easy targets for snatch thieves. In July 2020, a man who had just come out of prison was arrested in Longjumeau after a series of six incidents of this nature. His victims, including one who received a total incapacity for work for 21 days, were aged between 63 and 87.
