The Lindauer Inn in Schongau is one of the oldest in the old town. In 1902, the Lindauer family took over the Zum Koch or Kocherlwirtschaft business.

After the death of his grandmother at the end of 1970, his parents Alfred and Hanni took over. After a major renovation, Pilsner was available on tap for the first time in the Schongauer Nachrichten, in which about the Lindau is reported. After his parents died, Christian Lindauer decided to lease the inn after his father's death. However, after his mother's death in 2012, he decided to buy the inn and run it as his own business. He has not yet filed a complaint because he is afraid of the additional costs of a lawyer and he is not the only creditor. The ten-year lease that Krizanac took over two years ago from his Croatian compatriot and predecessor Ivan Vuletic was not properly terminated, but has now been extended.
