Mental and physical development is different than that of other people. Dorian comes three times a week for remedial social-emotional support, physical therapy and speech therapy. He crafts, plays and builds. He climbs, balances and runs. He practices making sounds and words. And regular exercises help. “The earlier you start, the better,” explains Astrid Karl, Dorian’s mother. ‘We should try to better integrate different people with their peculiarities – including in the school system,’ she says.
