Wind turbine caught fire this Thursday between Rennes and Nantes, in the Somme. 14 firefighters intervened around 8 a.m.
on the Statkraft Renewables electricity production park. The blade of the charred wind turbine broke in two and fell to the ground. This type of incident remains extremely rare in France, it is the second to occur in just a few days in similar circumstances. The wind farm was therefore shut down. A technical meeting should take place soon. The company has contacted potentially impacted landowners and farmers “in order to minimize the consequences and coordinate the necessary measures”
