Body discovered floating on the arm of water which connects the Grand Large reservoir to the Rhône, in the town of Décines-Charpieu. Specialist water rescuers were able to bring the body back to shore.
An investigation was opened to identify the victim and determine the exact circumstances of the death, with or without the intervention of a third party. A year ago today, two teenagers almost drowned in the nearby Grand Large body of water. They had jumped into a boat with the engine running but, unable to control it, found themselves thrown into the lake.
