Chilean filmmaker Maite Alberdi is nominated for an Oscar for her documentary La Memoria Infinita. The film about care and Alzheimer's aspires to win the award for Best Documentary.

She says: "I think that in the documentary the viewer has less tolerance for pain than in fiction" The film was recently awarded Best Ibero-American Film at the Goya. The recording of the film took four and a half years, during which time she did not knock on any door.
