Millions of Turks will vote Sunday in the second round of the presidential election. Both candidates are plucking at the strings of hatred for Syrian refugees.

Some 3.5 million Syrian refugees have found refuge on Turkish soil since the outbreak of the civil war in their homeland. Most polls of recent days predict a fairly clear victory for Erdogan. But the incumbent president himself warns against excessive complency and hope to mobilize the eight million voters who did not vote in the first round and 50,000 first-time voters.
