The CDU is pushing for an end to the unreduced pension at the age of 63 for long-term insured persons. The Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, Malu Dreyer, rejects this demand.

"It's about people who have worked for 45 years and paid into the pension fund," he says. Demographic change will be taken into account by gradually raising the retirement age for the non-deductible pension for particularly long- term insured persons to 65.
