The European Union denounces that the blocking of the opposition's candidacy by the Venezuelan Supreme Court undermines democracy. María Corina Machado insisted this Monday on maintaining her candidacy for this year's Venezuelan presidential elections.

“The substitute candidate is the plan of those who do not want change,” said Machado, elected last October 22 with 92% of the votes in primaries in which more than two million people participated.
