A municipal councilor from the 13th and 14th arrondissements of Marseille was violently attacked with a knife. The attack occurred following the Europa League match between Olympique de Marseille and Benfica.

She was returning home when a man tried to steal her bag before dragging her to the ground and stabbing her four times in the right breast. The elected official was slightly injured and taken to a hospital. According to the daily, the attack has no link with the victim's elected position.
