Two police vehicles parked in front of the police station in the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) were set on fire during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The perpetrators, a group of eight according to a police source, were dressed in dark clothes and wore surgical masks.

Gasoline was poured from a jerrycan onto a first vehicle - a Skoda - before the fire was lit. This spread to a second car. A third vehicle was also doused with gasoline, but not set onFire. Two “incendiary devices” as well as a lighter were discovered on the scene.
