Matthew Perry's social networks hacked after his death, for false calls for donations. Four months after the death of the American actor on October 28 in Los Angeles, hackers took control of his X account.

The fraudulent message posted to Matthew Perry's X account has since been deleted and administration of it has been recovered. “Please do not make donations on this site and do not share these fraudulent publications on social networks,” warned the Matthew Perry Foundation on its website. The foundation “embodies the lasting commitment” of Matthew Perry to help people affected by addiction.
