British author Tim Boveri's book Appeasement of Hitler was published this year in Hebrew. The book describes the lack of understanding of reality before the outbreak of World War II.

The author manages to create tension and hope that perhaps things will go differently after all, despite the predictable end. The writing style is reminiscent of that of Michael Dobbs ("Six Months in 1945" about the Yalta Conference and the Potsdam Conference). Bouveri gets under the skin of his heroes, as an omniscient narrator.
