An outbreak in a climbing center in Innsbruck also contributed to the current wave of infections. In North Rhine-Westphalia, 24 cases of measles have already been reported this year. That is already more than the total of 2023 with 15 cases. Children are particularly affected, as they usually have no or only inadequate vaccination protection.
