Mechanical engineer cancels new construction plans that were supposed to create hundreds of jobs. Stihl, headquartered in Waiblingen near Stuttgart, is considered the world market leader in the manufacture of chainsaws and goes back to the inventor of the motorized chainsaw, AndreasStihl.
The company also wanted to build a new production site in Ludwigsburg, which would create Hundreds of new jobs in the baroque city. Due to various factors, the project is on hold.
