Member of the Texas National Guard arrested on charges of human smuggling on the border with Mexico. Savion Amari Donovan Johnson, 26, was arrested after a car chase that at times exceeded 100 mph.
Johnson was charged with human smuggling and evading arrest in a vehicle and illegal carrying of a weapon, after authorities found a 9mm caliber handgun in his car. This is at least the second time in less than a year that a uniformed officer has been caught transporting immigrants from the border in Texas.
