From this Friday, traffic on line 11 is interrupted between Belleville and its current terminus, Mairie-des-Lilas. The official opening date to travelers of the extension of line 11 has not yet been determined.

The inauguration of the new section, which stretches over 6 km, will mark the end of one of the most important extension projects on the “historic” metro network. A replacement bus service is planned on the closed metro section. The dry run will last at least one month. The extension will not be opened to the public immediately. But it is not yet completed. The replacement of the more than sixty-year-old MP59 trains with brand new MP14 trains has not been completed yet. The new trains will not immediately operate at maximum capacity… due to rolling stock issues. The last close of the line will be on Sunday April 28, to allow the RATP to test the behavior of the trains, in real conditions, on the future route, from Châtelet to Rosny-sous-Bois.
