Metropolitan RER: the government wants to move forward on initial projects this year. The Minister for Transport Patrice Vergriete promised the “labelling” of the most advanced projects for the first half of the year.
He also plans a “financing conference” with the communities by June. Framed by a law passed in December in Parliament, these “regional metropolitan express services” (Serm) must concern around ten large French metropolises within 10 years.
