A heavy goods vehicle overturned late Friday afternoon on the A31 motorway near Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), spilling more than 20,000 liters of flammable product. The dumping of part of the load into the sewerage network caused a fire inside the sewers then an explosion.
The fire was extinguished around 6:00 p.m., after the deployment of a large device, including 39 trucks from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS)
