Mexico begins the electoral campaign this Friday with a view to the presidential elections on June 2. The official candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, is the top favorite, followed by Xóchitl Gálvez and, at a great distance, Jorge Álvarez Máynez.

The polls show a clear advantage towards the cherry nominee, although there are still three months in which the candidates, especially those from the opposition, will have room to bring out all their artillery. If so, Morena would remain in power for 12 years, something only achieved by Vicente Fox and Felipe Calderón.
