Miesbach is starting the next renovation - and wants to learn from the explosion in costs at the monastery. The city is converting the Catholic Church's former kindergarten building into an after-school care center.

Removing and disposing of the lead-containing wall paint makes the renovation, which was estimated at 2.6 million euros, 100,000 euros more expensive. In addition, a new elevator will be installed on the north side, which will provide barrier-free access. There are also new windows and an acoustically dampening floor.
