Javier Milei and Elon Musk met face to face this Friday after months of complimentary messages through social networks and phone calls. “It was like love at first sight,” described the future Argentine ambassador in Washington, Gerardo Werthein, one of the participants.

Milei opened the door for Musk's satellite company, Starlink, to begin operating in the country and the businessman committed this Friday to visit the Latin American country. The meeting concluded without any announcement of Musk's investments in Argentina, but Musk expressed his interest in lithium, the mineral that is key to electric vehicle batteries. The next day, Milei met with the head of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and landed in Miami to be named “ambassador of light” to the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community Chabadabad. The Argentine president and the magnate agree in the defense of free trade and technological development for the progress of humanity and on the need to establish clear and stable rules of the game.
