Iranian state television said three drones were seen in the skies over Isfahan in the middle of the night. The windows of several administrative buildings on the base were reportedly broken.

Iran's Fars News Agency reported that three explosions were heard near the Iranian army's Shekari Air Base. The Aigle-44 base, images of which were revealed for the first time in May 2022, has the possibility of receiving fighter planes, bombers as well as drones. Other air bases were also built west of Isfahan, in the Zagros mountains, without their precise location being known. The cause of these noises is still unknown, and investigations are continuing until the exact details of the incident are determined. The Iranian government had warned Israel that any response would result in an immediate reaction. Israeli leaders appear to have chosen to react, without claiming responsibility for an attack for the moment. The Israeli war cabinet gathered after the attack by nearly 300 Iranian missiles and drones during the night from Saturday to Sunday, and the IDF has yet made any comment.
