Private Eshhar Jaeger appealed his conviction on two counts of rape and fraud and breach of trust. The court rejected his appeal, but reduced Jaeger's sentence by seven months.
An investigation into the rape story was conducted on the original program, which found alleged serious lapses in the investigation that attest to Jaeger’s innocence. Counsel for the victim of the crime said: "I hope that this will bring to an end the exhausting legal process that the complainant had to undergo vis-à-vis the person who harmed her"
