Missing bearded monkey back at Leipzig Zoo. 15-year-old female named Ruma was reported stolen on Easter Sunday after its enclosure was broken into.
Police received a tip on Thursday morning that a bearded monkey had been spotted in a tree in the Reudnitz district. The monkey ran into a nearby apartment building and was caught there. There are no external injuries visible, but she appears weakened, said zoo director Junhold Junhold. The investigation into the theft was ongoing.
