Mittenwald: Suspected smuggler wants to escape and injures police officers with pepper spray. He injured an officer while escaping.
The 21-year-old was taken into custody today on a court order. After the car stopped abruptly on the B2, the driver ran into the adjacent forest. The officer injured by the irritant was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for further treatment of his eyes. However, no permanent damage is currently expected.
