The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is experiencing one of the largest internal displacement crises on the continent. 6.9 million people forced to leave their homes, mainly due to the conflict in the east.

Since October 2022, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) estimates that 1.6 million people have been displaced. More than 36,000 families, that is, more than 180,000 displaced people, live there in very difficult conditions, often in small huts built in a hurry.
