The Starnberg district court has published its annual review for 2023. Assets worth more than one billion euros were inherited in the district in 2023, the report says.

1,074 new civil lawsuits were filed, 65 more than the year before. The average duration of a civil case: 4.3 months. Family disputes, on the other hand, usually last longer, the district court states. But it also reports that divorce filings “declined marginally” in the last year.. There were 100 more new criminal proceedings than in the previous year, a total of almost 800. The court also looks at the Munich Lawyers' Association's legal advice center for needy district citizens, which was set up in October. The offer has proven to be a “complete success” (more information on the court’s homepage). The director also refers to the 62 students and 25 schoolchildren who completed an internship in Starn Berg. The district court registered around 3,200 property transfers.
